The War of the Rosie
No matter what you think about Rosie O’Donnell (Internet polls favor fat pig over good Samaritan 2:1), she makes damn good YouTube watching. Yes, she’s got an (enormously) big mouth, and I used to despise her when she was in her “I love Tom Cruise” phony phase, but the more I learn of the good things she does (she just gave a house and a car away to this poor couple in Kentucky, and she’s at the forefront of adoption and foster care issues in America), I think her heart is in the right place. I know this is all trivial pop culture blather to most, but the issues at the core; like “racism” (ching chong chang), homophobia (Clay Gayken),
and moral authority (Donald Trump and Miss USA), are important ones, and at least she’s bringing attention to them, albeit by sticking her foot in her mouth most of the time. But like I say, it makes good TV, and we’re watching. Anderson Cooper’s reactions in this YouTube clip below are priceless!
