• Bubba’s Got a Gun, Morrissey, Roscoe’s Day Out & Stinky Tofu

   

  I had the following email exchange with a family member today.  I can’t believe people still propagate this kind of bullshit.  I guess with what has happened recently, they need to go on the defensive.  Ugh.

  FYI, this is an Urban Legend.  It never really happened.  It just goes to show you that the gun lobby has to resort to under handed tactics like these to get gun owners to buy into their propaganda.  You’re one of the smart ones, and at least you can state your opinion intelligently (though why you need a semi-automatic weapon to “shoot cans” is beyond me).  Most of the “rednecks” who read this crap though, take it as gospel and that just fuels more antagonism between the right and the left.  To prove this email is false you can check out:

  Then I read this, and I’m embarrassed to find out it happened in my home state.  The sick part is how proud the father is that he tricked the system!  What a moron.  I feel so sorry for that kid.  Child welfare should take him away.  Oh yeah, and speaking of redneck’s his name is Bubba. God this is depressing.

  CHICAGO, Illinois (AP) — “Bubba” Ludwig can’t walk, talk or open the refrigerator door — but he does have his very own Illinois gun permit.

  The 10-month-old, whose given name is Howard David Ludwig, was issued a firearm owner’s identification card after his father, Howard Ludwig, paid the $5 fee and filled out the application, not expecting to actually get one.

  The card lists the baby’s height (2 feet, 3 inches), weight (20 pounds) and has a scribble where the signature should be. (Watch Bubba use his gun permit as a teething ring )

  Speaking of depression, does anyone want to go the Morrissey concert at the Hollywood Bowl on June 8th?  The remaining tickets are rather steep ($135), but hey it’s Morrissey…the Minstrel of Mope.  I saw him solo in the 90′s and saw him with The Smiths in the 80′s.  (God I’m old!)  So, if you want to go, grab a bouquet of flowers, and we’ll meet under the stars at the glorious Hollywood Bowl!
