It’s Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas
Had my normal Thursday night dinner with the family tonight. Dar & I went to Lisa’s and I took some pictures of the kids with the Christmas decorations. It’s harder to get into the Christmas spirit when it’s 80° outside (26° C), but Lisa & Joel’s beautiful yard helped. After that, I went over to Aunty LuLu and Uncle George’s for cherry pie! Their tree was beautiful too, and we dug out the old pictures from the 30′s and 40′s and they told me lots of stories, which I always love. I’ll be off for a few days, so I hope everyone has a nice weekend. Ho Ho Ho.
I told Andy & Tommy that I was sending these pictures to Santa, and if he thought that they looked handsome, he just might visit their house first on Christmas Eve.

and not to be a kill joy or whatever but… man… that must be hell to take down all that xmas decorations… lol
LOL, I guess when you have kids that’s what you do Jad1
heheh. can i have the box-full of lights-man? it’s so cute. the kids really are having fun.
wow, you’re dad has a twin sister. they say that’s some sort of a lucky thing. some of my relatives are twins, what’s weird though is either they’re both boys or girls, never the opposite. Or no twins at all but either all are boys or girls.
…..
and did i mention that my mom has like 24 brothers and sisters?
No but I saw it on his site a while back.
I want my Nikon to be able to whoop some. Wait it already does.
26° C !? no snow on California then I suppose. Man, how I hate the global warming.
BTW, Love the pictures, the old ones specially.
Have a nice weekend.
if you’re looking for sympathy for your 80 degree weather, you done come to the wrong place! – lol. love the pix – some of the oldies remind me of ones of my mom. peace, Al
That Christmas Tree is so beautiful! *glares at it… Christmas Tree bursts into flames* LOL! Sorry… I’m pretty cynical and full of envy when it comes to Christmas. I never had a Christmas Tree. =( And now that I’m anti-religious… I don’t want one.
i’m soo jealous of you right now.we just got snow again for the 2nd time this week.i totally dislike snow.and i’m sure we’ll get more since winter hasn’t officially started yet.it starts on december 21st.i wonder where fall has gone to.
those lights are beautiful.
keep in touch!bye!
Nice X’Mas decorations! Very colourful! I like the penguin with the red bow tie!
You have a huge extended family, my dear Carey!!
carey,to answer your question on how i got to remember what happened on those dates:those were merely special days..like the day i left my apartment to move in with my family, the women’s cabaret concert,my friend’s benefit concert, day before thanksgiving, thanksgiving day, saturday after thanksgiving,my friend’s mom’s birthday.december 3 to 7 were just this past week.so those were easy to remember.i honestly can’t even tell you what happened on the other weekdays, except for the fact that i went to work.
i’m soo sick of this snow.it’s supposed to snow again tomorrow.and well,i’m just tired of it.it’s supposed to rain on monday through thursday.winter sucks!
RYC: I think Shortbus is my favorite movie of all time. Not because of the unsimulated sex, but because of the music and the emotions put into it. I feel like I can relate to all the characters in some ways, especially James’ suicidal feelings. It forces me to realize that I am not alone and that others are going through the exact same things and are dealing with it each and everyday just as I am. In sorts, it’s almost like my feel good movie. =P
It’s nice to finally see some quality X-mas decorations. Is it me or is this year pretty stingy with x-mas lights and decorations? I assume you’re from LA also.. weird weather lately… 80F last Tuesday and down to 60F and raining by end of the week.

Haha you have an amazing family and a really good family history full of love and pictrures to show! Cherish the photos! Aunty Gee looks adorable! Can’t believe its 26 Celcius over there. Its 24 Celcius here cause its been raining. On top of that ,, Im pretty sure some cows down the state are drowning due to poor drainage and flash floods. Beef steak anyone? Have a merry x-mas! :)
P/S I’ll return the snowman before the 5th of January , if I fail to do so , please get the hint that I’m probably not gonna return it cause its so awesomely cool ! Nintendo Wii eat your heart out !

I love those old photographs. The technology is so amazing now but you can never capture the sentiment and beauty of that era. It’s inspiring that you care so much about your history. Lord knows I dont want to dig up all my stuff, but its good to know where you came from. And Ahh, Christmas, I love it!! Great Pictures!!!
those pictures were amazzing….Merry Christmas.
