The Best Little Kennel, Boutique Hotel & Parking Garage in Southern California
It was a busy afternoon at the Hotel Careyfornia. Lisa ,Joel & the boys are going to Hawaii for 9 days and I’m watching their dogs, Shadow & Oreo (named after my Oreo!). They’re parking their car here at my place (just like Claudio is), so now I have 3 cars. That’s kind of ironic seeing that my own car was in the shop for four months up until recently. So when Lisa & Joel got here, I took a late lunch and we went to Jerry’s Famous Deli. After that we headed to the airport, where, coincidentally, Vivek had just flown in from Delhi, India, by way of Seoul, South Korea. He’s here for an internship, and will hopefully get some good news about the Project Runway application he submitted. (I’m really hoping for a ticket to the Oscars next year Vivek, especially since you didn’t bring me a souvenir from Korea!!) Vivek was super tired after his whirlwind trip to Korea and flight to LA, so we did a quick drive down Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills, and the sites of Hollywood (Grauman’s, the Kodak Theater, etc.) before he retired for the evening to get a good night’s rest and start the first day of the rest of his life tomorrow!

I hope this song is good luck for you Vivek. It was playing on a fateful day in 1990 when I made a decision that would change my life forever. You are so good with kids it’s disgusting! I’m actually thinking about moving to L.A. once I graduate…that is if I have any money saved over whatsoever. Have any connections in the journalism/writing industry?

The real hotel idea sounds like a good one for you!
Speaking of Project Runway – what did you think of that last “Off” they had? I think they made the wrong choice and “Offed” the wrong person in my opinion!
Same with Next Food Network Star – they chose the wrong person! And I am not convinced of the Next Design Star choice either.
However I do like who America picked as the new Nashville Star this evening – good choice there. I knew he/she (just in case you haven’t watched it yet) was a winner from the very beginning!

@generasianx - Oh gosh. I don’t think so. I can barely keep up with housing my friends! This place is pretty small too. Though we once slept 21 people in here!!

@bowzere - Believe it or not, out of all those shows you mentioned, I just watch Project Runway, and I can barely keep up with that. Not a country fan at all, so Nashville doesn’t interest me. The others sound good though, I’ll try to check them out

I’m surprised none of your guest have taken the sign as a souvenir. (hee hee… j/k). You should get them to sign a guest register too! I was going to say sign the sign but with the number of guests you have, you’d need a new one every few months.

you did have several fine guests having a good time. your pet motel was SO CUTE. it was LOL to seeing them pose next to your sign. they are such good models. a credit to the dog race.
