Cheesy Food Porn and a Daring Rescue
A week of rare stormy weather was capped off by a beautiful sunny weekend full of friends, flowers and food (porn). Picasa tells me I took 224 photos this week. Here are a few of them:

To prove the clouds weren’t Photoshopped, here’s a short video of the last stormI’ve been dog-sitting for Buster & Roxy all week. I have them until Thursday, when I leave for the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah. The poor dogs had cabin fever this week with all the rain, but they got cured of that really quickly after seeing this riveting rescue of a dog trapped in the swollen Los Angeles River this week:

Man, that cheesus thing is like seriously disturbing! But, what an unexpected twist to “food porn”… I bet people will think twice before saying that now. haha

we had rain here all day sunday but i doubt i’ll find any flowers poking up through the still frozen ground! the dog was awful lucky all right! i guess the cost could be written off as training for a human save! peace, Al

We need the rain, although the drive to downtown LA was horrible the other day. After rain, the weather was so sunny and gorgeous. BTW I also watched the dog rescue on TV. Poor doggie, and brave firemen indeed. Glad it was a happy ending.
@wizirbyman - Yeah, I didn’t mind the rain either. It’s a nice change of pace. I just wish they would stop covering it incessantly on the news! :)
@pukemeister - They had to rescue him that way, despite the cost. If they hadn’t, all kinds of stupid people would have tried, and ended up needing rescuing themselves.

@p4nd4k0d14k - No, we don’t get monsoons. We barely ever get rain. This is an El Nino season though, which is what’s causing all of this.

@CareyGLY - So it’s like hurricanes…. but more sporatic. I’m twenty(Twenty-one this year in June). I wanna run away but something is just keeping me here and idk what that is.
@p4nd4k0d14k - Nah, just lots of rain, and since we have fires here…that makes mudslides. Running away is not the answer. You’ll be out of there soon enough. Soldier on.
